Dust regularly with a soft, clean cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and strong household chemicals unless the product instructions specifically recommend them.
Glass and mirrors
Use a soft lint-free cloth. Where a cleaner is appropriate, apply it to the cloth rather than spraying heavily around frames, fixings or decorative finishes.
Metal and gold-tone finishes
Wipe gently with a dry or lightly damp soft cloth and dry afterwards. Avoid abrasive polish unless the manufacturer specifically recommends it, as decorative coatings can be affected by aggressive cleaning.
Wood and wood-effect finishes
Remove dust with a soft cloth and wipe spills promptly. Avoid prolonged moisture and harsh cleaners. Use coasters or protective pads where appropriate.
Stone, marble-look and mineral-effect surfaces

Lighting

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep candles away from children, pets, draughts and combustible materials, and use an appropriately sized candle for the holder.
